Group Visits and Tours

The Dallas Museum of Art is pleased to offer your group a variety of ways to enjoy the Museum. Whether you have an hour to spend in the permanent collection galleries, want to dive deeper into a special exhibition, or prefer to make a day of your visit and enjoy lunch as well, the Group Sales team is happy to assist you. Please complete the request form to being the process!

Please note, for the safety and well-being of our guests and staff, all guided group offerings are currently limited to 20 people.

Group Tickets

Visiting with a group? We encourage groups of 10 or more people visiting the Museum to reach out to us a minimum of three weeks prior to your visit so that we may aid with your planning.

Please review all Visitor Guidelines prior to your visit. We ask that groups assign one leader for check-in and group assistance. While in the galleries, please be mindful of space and capacity limits.

We encourage groups to visit on weekdays.

Self-Guided Visit

Time: Open-ended

Bring your group of any size to explore the DMA your way without a guide. You can book your own tickets, or we can assist you in booking.

General admission is free, and free general admission tickets are required. Special exhibition tickets are not discounted for groups.

Art & Talk

Time: One Hour

A DMA Member favorite! Dive into the art with a 20-minute lecture-style overview from one of the DMA’s trained docents and then visit the gallery at your leisure. Your docent will join you in the gallery for the remainder of the hour and be available to answer questions and engage in in-depth conversation about the art as your group explores. To secure a date that works for your group, we encourage you to schedule as far in advance as possible. Art & Talk must be coordinated a minimum of three weeks in advance.

Private Tours (On Hold)

Time: One Hour

Private one-hour tours of our collection galleries or special exhibitions, led by our trained docents, are very popular. To secure a date that works for your group, we encourage you to schedule as far in advance as possible. Private tours must be coordinated a minimum of three weeks in advance.

Dining Options

The Museum can host groups for a casual lunch in the DMA Cafe or set up a private lunch or meeting in one of our event spaces. Please contact sodexo@DMA.org to make arrangements. Additional fees will apply.

Terms and Conditions

Payments

  • All Talks and Tours must be booked in advance by single credit card or single check payment no later than 14 calendar days prior to the visit date.
  • An additional $100 nonrefundable service fee will be applied to any group booked less than 14 calendar days prior to the scheduled visit date, based on availability.
  • All participants in the group agree to abide by all visitor guidelines, including COVID protocols.
  • The number of group participants can be revised no later than 14 calendar dates prior to your reservation. Revisions to the number of group participants may incur additional fees. Payments must be received no later than 14 calendar days prior to your visit date.

Cancellations, Refunds, and Exchanges

  • In case of cancellation or closure, every effort will be made by the DMA to help reschedule your group visit. If no other visitation date can be arranged for your group, a $50 cancellation fee will be retained.
  • All prepaid ticketing for paid special exhibitions is nonrefundable.
  • If on the day of your visit there is a reduction in the number of participants in your group, no portion of the fee will be refunded.
