Participating middle and high school teachers are invited to:

  • Deepen their understanding of contemporary and modern art and architecture at renowned arts institutions in Dallas and Fort Worth.
  • Develop strategies to teach, interpret, and use works of art in the classroom and in museum galleries.
  • Connect with collections, resources, and staff at each museum.
  • Exchange ideas with other classroom teachers.

Teacher In-Services

The Dallas Museum of Art Education Department offers in-service training for K–12 teachers. In-services typically offer an overview of teaching resources offered by the DMA, gallery visits, and hands-on activities. These can be scheduled throughout the academic year, and must be scheduled at least one month in advance to allow for planning.

For groups of twenty or fewer, the cost is a flat fee of $100. For groups of 21 or more, the cost is a flat fee of $150. For more information, or to schedule an in-service, email schoolprograms@DMA.org or call 214-922-1842.
