Homeschool Class for Families: Developing an Eye for Art

This event has already passed

The Homeschool Class for Families offers an interactive Museum experience for children ages 6-12. In April, May, and June, we invite teens to join us as well to help pilot a NEW homeschool class just for teens. Discuss works of art in the galleries, participate in a hands-on activity, and create a work of art in the studio. Taught by Museum Education staff. Class size is limited to twenty children.

In May and June, develop your photographer's eye as we take a closer look at the work of artist Irving Penn. Catch a glimpse of what he saw through the lens, and then create your own shot on photo-sensitive paper.

Adults do not need a ticket. When classes are filled, e-mail jsheppard@DMA.org to be placed on the waiting list.
