Art History Conversations
Friday, September 30, 6:00 p.m.
Location: Main Visitor Services Desk
Session 1: Learning to See features artworks from ancient Egypt presented by Adriana Martinez-Mendoza, Manager of Teen Programs at the Dallas Museum of Art.
Art History Conversations are free experiences for teens to learn more about art history using the DMA's collection as a launching point. Presented by curatorial and education staff, as well as by community guest speakers, the Art History Conversations curriculum aligns with AP Art History learning objectives, offering interactive opportunities for students to connect their classroom learning with real works of art, techniques, and materials.
Registration is required one week prior to each session. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance is limited to 20 students.
Registered students will meet with the presenter at the main Guest Services Desk 10 minutes before the session begins.
The Dallas Museum of Art is supported, in part, by the generosity of DMA Members and donors, the citizens of Dallas through the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs, and the Texas Commission on the Arts.
