The Art of Assemblage

This event has already passed Location: Horchow Auditorium

Contemporary artist and actor-filmmaker Steve Brudniak, known for his highly crafted assemblage sculptures, talks about the art of assemblage, his own work, its correlation to the work of Isa Genzken, and the recent dialogue concerning beauty and craft in the contemporary art arena. In the talk, images of historic assemblages will accompany those of Genzken's work and Brudniak's surreal works, which include the first assemblages to travel into space, art integrating the oldest life discovered on earth, unique applications of human blood, and more.
