Make & Take

Join us for a guided, art making series for adults, one Thursday every month. Drop by and stay for as long as you want, whether it is a few minutes or an hour, you will leave with a new skill and your own creation. No previous experience necessary and all materials are provided.

Make & Take: Wonderful Weaving

Thursday, January 24, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Use a personal miniature loom to make your own wall hanging or small textile creation. You will learn the basics of weaving and use different yarn and materials to make your hanging uniquely yours. To get inspiration for your creation, check out our textiles on view in the Center for Creative Connections, right outside the studio.


Make & Take: Mastering Marbling

Thursday, February 21, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Create marbled paper for your next craft project or for writing a note to a friend with a decorative flair. Learn two ways to create personalized paper marbled in the style that originated as early as the 12th century in Asia. 


Make & Take: Succulent Still Life

Thursday, March 28, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Use succulents and other small household plants as subjects to create your own miniature still-life painting. You will receive a 6" x 6" canvas and instruction from a local artist on how to make your tiny masterpiece come to life.
