Intermediate Calligraphy Workshop with Lyndsay Wright

Saturday, March 4, 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Inspired by the manuscript pages in the Art and Nature in the Middle Ages exhibition, our intermediate workshop in calligraphy will teach you lowercase lettering in the medieval style and have you taking home greeting card sets you design! Don't worry if you don't feel "intermediate" now, by the end of the workshop you'll be feeling confident in a new style!

Batik Fabric-Making Workshop

Saturday, April 8, 1:00 p.m.

Inspired by the textiles in the exhibition Waxed: Batik from Java, join us to learn the history and techniques of batik fabric making. You will choose your own “urban” design from the surroundings in the Cultural District and learn how to dye fabric, draw in wax, and create your finished designed fabric sample.
