Join us for in-depth hands-on workshops using fun techniques and unique materials. Workshops are led by local artists and are connected to our collection or special exhibitions. You will always walk out with a new skill and a different view on the collection.
For more information on our workshops for teens, visit our Teen Programs page.
Join master basket weaver, Lois Conner Bohna as she teaches you the art of twining and basket making. In this workshop you will make a traditional, Mono Indian baby basket that is made for the birth of a child. Before you go into the studio, you will learn more about the baskets in our Arts of the Americas collection with Dr. Kimberly Jones, The Ellen and Harry S. Parker III Assistant Curator of Arts of the Americas at the DMA.
