This Cert-SIG mailing list is for members of the Dayton Microcomputer Association (DMA®) Certification Special Interest Group (SIG) and other computer enthusiasts and professionals in the greater Dayton area to study for, share their experiences, and ask questions related to preparing for certification exams. The DMA® Certification SIG meets at 7:00 PM the second Tuesday and fourth Wednesday each month. See www.dma.org/fud/index.php?t=threadt&frm_id=9&rid=0 for current information. Messages posted from an address not a member of the group will be silently discarded. This means that if you are subscribed to the list using First_name.Last_name@some.isp (eg. John.Doe@some.isp), but you post a message from an account Last_nameFirst_initial@some.isp (eg. doej@some.isp), that message will not be accepted even though one address may be an alias for the other. This list has the Reply-To: field munged to reply to the list instead of just to the original author. That may make replying only to the original author difficult or impossible. Mailman inserts the list name [Cert-SIG] in the subject automatically for messages sent to the list. Administrative messages, such as the welcome message when you subscribe, don't do that. Also, replies to messages sent to the list go to the list - not just to the original author. This Mailman cert-sig list replaced our Majordomo certification list. Using Cert-SIG
To post a message to all the list members, send email to cert-sig@dma.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Cert-SIG
Subscribe to Cert-SIG by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
